Dark Oak - Forma® Click
Rich timber tones for façades with warmth and depth.
EXTERIOR APPLICATION
Ecoscape Forma® Click Dark Oak introduces the richness of deeper timber tones to contemporary cladding, creating a façade with warmth, texture and confident visual presence.
Its dark brown colouring works naturally alongside brick, stone and planting, while also providing a strong contrast against pale render, glazing and modern metalwork.
This wood-plastic composite combines the mechanical properties of wood with the durability of plastic, creating a long-lasting, low-maintenance building material that is resistant to rot, cracking, splitting and warping.
Available across three board widths, Dark Oak can be adapted from finely detailed linear cladding to broader areas of timber character or more expressive mixed-width compositions.
Deep timber character. Less change over time.
Rich timber colours can play an important role in an architectural palette, but natural wood will gradually change as it is exposed to sunlight and weather.
Dark Oak offers greater control over that process.
Its capped composite construction and UV-stable outer surface are designed to help retain the depth of the original colour, rather than progressively weathering towards lighter or greyer tones.
This is one of the key benefits of capped composite cladding where maintaining the original material palette is important. With no ongoing painting, staining or oiling, Dark Oak provides the warmth of timber without the same maintenance demands.
Profile Dimensions: 45mm; 64mm; 119mm

Design the rhythm
Different Forma Click profiles allow the depth of Dark Oak to be expressed in different ways.
-
Small – Fine Linear: 45mm boards create a finely articulated façade with strong repeating shadow lines.
-
Medium – Balanced Linear: 64mm boards provide a versatile balance between timber surface and linear detail.
-
Large – Broad Linear: 119mm boards create broader expanses of Dark Oak with a quieter, more substantial character.
-
Combi – Mixed Width: Grad’s Varibo rail allows multiple board widths to be combined for a more varied architectural rhythm.
-
Boards can be installed vertically, horizontally or diagonally, giving designers further flexibility to respond to the proportions of the building. Coordinated trims allow corners, edges, openings and transitions to be resolved cleanly.

Designed for installers
Forma Click integrates with the Grad concealed fixing system to create accurate, consistently spaced elevations without visible face screws.
Dedicated Grad rails create regular Small, Medium and Large patterns, while the Varibo rail allows different board widths to be used together within the same façade.
This concealed approach keeps fixings and supporting components visually secondary, allowing the richness of the Dark Oak finish and the proportions of the cladding to take centre stage.

Where Dark Oak works particularly well
Dark Oak is particularly effective on premium homes, extensions, entrances, garden rooms, hospitality projects and mixed-material façades.
Its warm, darker tone works well with traditional masonry and natural landscaping, while also providing strong contrast against contemporary glazing and pale rendered surfaces.
More Forma® Click × Grad® options
Dark Oak sits alongside Silver Birch, Natural Oak, Argent and Charred Wood within the Forma Click collection.
Use one board width to establish a consistent architectural rhythm or combine multiple profiles using the Grad Varibo rail.
The ability to vary width and orientation gives designers considerable freedom, while the composite surface helps retain the rich Dark Oak character originally specified.
