We have big ambitions for the UK, so are looking for high-performing sales managers to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. You will be responsible for maximising our sales team potential through crafting and executing strong sales plans centered around growth. You will report directly into the Managing Director.

The Company:
We are an innovative and forward-thinking decking and cladding company, that is dramatically changing the way in which decking/cladding is installed. It is a product like no other, that fits many purposes: cladding, decking, privacy fences, decorative ceilings, slat walls, for indoor or outdoor use. With its capacity to work with almost any type of material (wood, composite, aluminum boards, pavers, bamboo, ceramic boards...), and across many industries, its’ applications and development possibilities are endless.
The Grad system allows decking/cladding to be installed quickly, easily and reliably, providing a decking that lasts, but can also be easily lifted if required (unlike traditional decking systems), saving time and money. Grad is well established in France, Germany and the US, and is now setting up a new team in the UK, so whilst it will benefit from being part of a big family-owned company in France (https://burgeretcie.fr/) it will need to take a start-up approach in the UK.

Job Description

Lead development and delivery of Sales Strategy across 4 target groups – Architects, Landscapers, Developers, and Partners (wholesalers, timber retailers, decking specialists)

Set up a clear Sales Funnel and document all contacts made (using CRM)

Develop quotes by using our CAD software entering in all dimensions/ground types/ timber options

Support team with supply chain ensuring delivery of orders and provide installation guidance to customers

Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding customer’s needs creating a positive customer experience

Present sales reports with realistic forecasts to management

Build strong relationships with all relevant parties in the industry

Identify emerging market opportunities/shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

Create and manage brand ambassador training program

Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and teamwork

Support marketing with development/delivery of sales POS, presentations and trade shows
Requirements:

An empathetic, enthusiastic, and amazing communicator with excellent interpersonal skills/emotional intelligence

You need to like other people, and have a smiley sunny disposition – positivity is key

Ideally, successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets in a B2B and/or B2C environment in the residential or commercial sectors

Ideally have experience in CAD drawings or the propensity to learn to use the software quickly

A hunter, with proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

Able to operate effectively with uncertainty and change in a fast-paced environment

Proactive, rigorous, autonomous, curious, willing to learn, highly organised, trustworthy, with a “can-do” attitude

Background in the construction/timber industry with an understanding of how architects/landscapers work is preferred but not essential
