Silver Birch - Forma® Click

Soft, understated timber tones for lighter architectural schemes.

EXTERIOR APPLICATION

Ecoscape Forma® Click composite cladding in Silver Birch combines muted grey and natural timber tones to create a light, refined cladding finish with a distinctly contemporary character.

Its realistic timber-effect surface is combined with the benefits of wood-plastic composite, delivering the mechanical properties of wood with the durability of plastic for a long-lasting, low-maintenance building material that is resistant to rot, cracking, splitting and warping.

Its restrained colour works particularly well alongside pale render, stone, concrete, glazing and darker architectural detailing, bringing warmth and texture without dominating the overall design.

Available in three board widths and compatible with a choice of Grad® rails, Silver Birch can create anything from delicate linear façades to broader, calmer elevations or varied mixed-width compositions.

A lighter timber look, without waiting for timber to weather.

Naturally weathered timber can create attractive silver-grey tones, but the final appearance is influenced by exposure, orientation and environmental conditions and can develop unevenly across an elevation.

Silver Birch provides that softer grey-oak character from the outset.

Its capped composite construction and UV-stable outer surface are designed to help retain the selected colour over time, giving designers greater control over how the finished façade relates to surrounding materials.

With no ongoing painting, staining or oiling required, it combines the understated appearance of weathered timber with the low-maintenance benefits of Ecoscape's composite cladding.

Design the rhythm.

The choice of board width allows Silver Birch to take on very different architectural characters.

Small – Fine Linear: 45mm boards create a finely detailed surface with closely spaced lines.
Medium – Balanced Linear: 64mm boards provide a versatile balance of timber-effect surface and shadow line.
Large – Broad Linear: 119mm boards create quieter, broader areas where the subtle Silver Birch colouring becomes more prominent.
Combi – Mixed Width: Grad’s Varibo rail combines different board widths to create a varied and more individual façade rhythm.

Boards can be installed vertically, horizontally or diagonally, giving designers further control over proportion and direction. A coordinated range of trims provides clean detailing around edges, corners, openings and transitions.

Dedicated Grad rails allow Small, Medium and Large patterns to be installed with consistent spacing, while the Varibo rail gives installers the flexibility to combine different board widths within the same elevation.

The concealed fixing approach preserves the clean architectural appearance of the finished cladding, allowing Silver Birch’s subtle colour and grain to remain the focus.

Where Silver Birch works particularly well

Silver Birch is particularly suited to contemporary homes, extensions, garden rooms, entrance areas and larger façades where a lighter cladding finish is required.

It works especially well with pale masonry, concrete, white or neutral render and dark window frames, creating contrast without introducing a strongly coloured material.
